                                               Come November

Here's to Hillary Clinton winning in November.
Don't get me wrong now:  I think she's just as much a demagog and "three dollar bill" as Donald Trump.

But the United States is long overdue for its own "female leader".  This "embodiment of how governments should be run" has been sorely lagging behind not only Great Britain (Margaret Thatcher) but also a few of the "lesser" countries as well:  Israel (Golda Meir), The Philippines (Corazon Aquino).   And let's not forget Germany (Angela Merkel).

Regardless of who gets into office next it's not going to affect the course of things to come as those who are REALLY in charge have already mapped out their agenda.

  1. We have a new female Prime Minister now, Theresa May.

  2. I haven't been keeping track of recent politics in Great Britain (aside from the "break from the E.U.).

This post was written to comment on how the U.S. presents itself as "the great world leader" but, yet, is still far behind even a number of "secondary" countries when it comes to a lot of progressive policies and practices.

  3. Disturbing fact: Trump and Hillary have the highest disapproval ratings for presidential candidates. Once again not voting for someone; instead voting against someone. The evil of two lessers.

    1. At least the U.S. will "meet its quota" in terms of a long-overdue "acquiring a female leader".
Then, after the novelty wears off, it'll be clear she's just another "front-man puppet" controlled by the real powers-that-be, same as all the other previous so-called U.S. "leaders".

  4. Hi, Tal!

I read some of your comments over on Larry Cave's blog, noticed that we have a lot in common and have decided to follow you.

I share your interest in music spanning several decades and your view that the U.S.A. is long overdue for a female chief executive, even if Hillary Clinton is considered the lesser of two evils or "the evil of two lessers" as Luke put it.

I cordially invite you to come over, take a look around and hopefully join the fun at my blog Shady Dell Music & Memories.

    Thanks, Tal!

    1. Thanks "Shady".
I hope you find my posts interesting, even if a bit anecdotal and subjective.
I comment on things the way I find them, the way they seem to me, and how they come across to me, so my posts tend to be very opinionated. But I do try to be candid and clever about how I express those views---even if it turns out I'm being somewhat myopic about certain subjects.

    1. Yeah, those "rich white male" types got redundant a long time ago.
The time for "a new pattern" is long overdue.
(As serious as our issues are politics still seem to be primarily mostly real-life "theater")
