Should I Just Give It A Rest?

I'm considering taking an online hiatus. You know, stop blogging for a while and simply read other people's sites and posts and even leave an occasional comment here and there on a few of them.

You see, I'm a lazy ass and right now I'm simply taking the easy way out. The main reason I write anyway is because I think talking is probably the worst form of communication in existence despite being the most common form. And factor in my having a deep voice, being soft-spoken and also mealy-mouthed and with a speech impediment to boot, and one can figure out why the only way someone like me would ever be able to successfully express himself could only be by way of the written word.
When I speak people either think I said something else, or I have to keep repeating myself. Phone calls to medical/dental clinics, caseworkers, or utility companies (and the like) are the worst.

Anyway, sayonara.
And remember---I'll be watching all of you.

People...
So many who were obviously born-in-a-barn and raised in the woods by wolves.

Tyrants, extortionists, gangsters. Always using force and aggression to get their way.

But if you do or say even the slightest thing to offend them they're given the right to terrorize you or commit conspiracy against you over whatever it is you did or said (or both).
Yet it's still perfectly okay for them to be as odious as they want without retribution or retort (those who dare retort are severely punished as "verbal abusers").

And so many slobs who never pick up after themselves. How do such feckless asses come by the right to have drivers licenses, have sex, have and raise children, have authority, own homes, have businesses, obtain high-paying professions, own fancy gadgets (which they always use excessively and abusively in public and commercial spaces)?

                                                       Musings For Today
When certain things are inexplicable or too ambiguous it usually means you're being messed with or that others know something you don't.

Why is it every time the weather gets warm you always hear a lot of hammering and saws buzzing away?  Like every year they have to fix whatever falls apart during the winter but haven't been able to get around to until the weather cleared up. Every year it's the same ritual.  How come no-one ever builds anything to last?
With all the controversy surrounding the Don Sterling incident one wonders why one factor was overlooked:  namely that this guy was ordering his mistress around, telling her who she can or cannot see or interact with.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't she a full-grown adult, quite capable of deciding for herself where she wants to go and who she wants to hang out with or avoid?

When he told her "I don't want you hanging around with..." she should have retorted: "You know, my friends were telling me the same thing. That I shouldn't be hanging around with YOU. Something about 'age inappropriate', you being so much older than me."

Sterling: Be in bed by 10:00 now. You need your sleep. After all, you're just a kid and if it wasn't for me keeping you in line you'd be getting yourself in trouble.
Mistress: Oh, yes, Big Daddy. I hear and obey.

                    MALAYSIA AIRLINES

                                     The "Mystery" Airline

When you fly Malaysia Airlines you never know where you'll wind up.  And, once there, no-one else will know where you wound up at either.

Jesus stated:

"In my Father's house are many mansions."
                                                               John 14:2

So, there it is, in the Bible itself.  A reference to life on other planets in other galaxies.

Think:
God's house: Heaven
Heaven: Outer space; the universe
Mansion: Humongous dwelling place
Humongous Dwelling Place In Outer Space: A planet capable of supporting life, much the same way earth is.

My Own Theory of Urbanism

Idealistically a city or big town, with its immense number of people, implies more diversity of personalities and, thus, more potential for finding friendship and romance.

However, as the adage goes:  In any large crowd lurks a pickpocket or two.
In other words, where there are large congregations there'll always be opportunists.
And, recognizing one's vulnerability, one assumes a defensive posture.  Self-preservation trumps idealism.

As a result all these people become little more than obstacles and barriers as anyone is now suspect.

                                                       "I feel your pain!"

Not unless we both fall off the same cliff together and land on the same pile of jagged rocks below.

I don't believe for one minute you'd ever be capable of any kind of empathy for any other than your close friends, and maybe your wife or girlfriend or possibly even own family members.

And it's no trade secret that I'm not in your league.

Oh, by the way:  "Memes" ...simple-minded mantras indulged in by obsessively fraternal imbeciles.
