Studies on alcohol consumption and stroke risk
Two alcoholic beverages per day:  8% decrease in stroke risk
Three or more alcoholic beverages per day:  14% increase in stroke risks

"Hold it!  I already had two beers.  If I have another one now I'm done for.
I'll just have to wait until tomorrow night to have my next one."

  1. Reminds me of the off repeated pseudo-fact you should drink eight glasses of water a day. Hey, are they still pushing to brush your teeth three times a day so that you have to buy more toothpaste and toothbrushes?

    1. How about "needing at least 7 hours of sleep a night"?
Especially considering how noisy most cities and apartment complexes are. Not to mention all the stress life puts on the individual which can cause insomnia.

And following a dentist's recommendation on "how to properly floss one's teeth" in full detail would cost one about a half-hour extra of one's time each and every time one as much as ate a sandwich or a candy bar.

  2. I'm sitting reading this with my second bottle of beer at my side. If you don't hear from me again, you know why, I'm dead.
